Today is not National BBQ Day, or National Family Day, it is Memorial Day. The day in which our country honors those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in love of God and country. We also honor those who served in any of the 5 branches of military.
Today I offer my heartfelt thanks to the many many family members who left their families behind to go and serve in the United States Armed Forces. They forever became members of a very special group of people. In my family, both my mothers side, and my fathers side, nearly every male born joined as soon as their 18th birthday cake was finished. Some earlier. My mothers brother paid the ultimate price and never came home.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
